Symptoms & Diagnosis

Bursitis

Bursitis is an inflammation of the hip's bursa. The bursa is a layer of tissue that surrounds the hip joint but is not located within the hip joint itself. Patients who suffer from bursitis can usually be successfully treated with physical therapy and anti-inflammatory medications. Hip arthroscopy is not indicated for bursitis of the hip.
